Buttercream Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
- Icing Sugar - 1 cup
- Butter (unsalted) - 1/4 cup
- Cream - 1 1/2 tbsp
- Vanilla - few drops
RECIPE STEPS:
- In a mixing bowl, add in the butter and beat it really well using a electric mixer.
- Once its creamy, add in 1/3 of the sugar and beat it until well combined. Repeat the same with the next two additions.
- Once all the sugar is well mixed, beat it really well for a couple of mins. Do not skip this, we need the mix to be extremely well beaten before adding any liquid.
- Add in vanilla and about 1/2 tbsp cream and mix well. If the mix stays thick and needs more cream, add more. Beat for another 5 mins.
- Use it as required or store and use later.
RECIPE NOTES :
For storing, cover and refrigerate/freeze. For defrosting, take the buttercream to room temp then beat it really well to make it creamy, if needed add some cream and beat.
